Clarissa (Vendemiatti) Zorr was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has lived in California, New York and Texas for the past 21 years. She is a huge fan of technology, how customers engage with it, and how brands are being built in this ever-changing world.
Professionally, she believes that there’s not one solution to every problem and recognizes that there are basic steps that can be taken when searching for a solution. Research is key, and she’s always on a quest to find who is breaking new ground and innovating. But for a project to be really successful, Clarissa feels it’s imperative to collaborate and brainstorm with other people – team members, clients, advisors, rockstars – because bouncing ideas off one another, and building on each others thoughts and strengths leads to energizing conversations and ultimately unprecedented solutions.
Even though her passion for design comes from all forms of digital media, she pays homage to the art of letterpress and fine typography by incorporating it in her work to create truly elegant user experiences. Her proudest moment was leading her team to build a robust Investor Relations platform that placed Top 5 for Best Ranked IR Website and Best Ranked Financial Disclosure and Procedures IR Website in North America. This experience taught her the power of building relationships with clients and team members, determining their true goals, and always delivering exceptional service.
Clarissa is a very kind and straight-forward person. These qualities served her well from playing competitively in beach volleyball tournaments in the beaches of Rio, to becoming an Executive Board Member of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Artists) in San Diego, to teaching a Branding class at the Art Institute of California to young and aspiring designers. She participates in philanthropic initiatives including volunteering to foster surrendered Italian Greyhounds, and donating her artwork to the So-Cal Fire Relief Poster Project that helped raise funds for victims of the wildfires that devastated Southern California in 2007.
She is an outgoing and fun loving person, who enjoys life but is very serious about her work. She spends her free time teaching her 2 gorgeous little girls how to speak Portuguese, photographing and documenting every special moment together, while cooking up a storm where her 3 Italian Greyhounds selflessly help “clean up” afterwards.
